My Honest Review of the Hotel Collection Pro Stick & HVAC Scent Diffuser

Hotel collection Double Presidential Scent Diffuser For over 6000sq ft. spaces.

While managing one of my client's NFL homes, I had to install an HVAC system that makes your home smell like a five-star luxury hotel. I had to have it installed, but I wanted to see how hard or easy it would be to do it myself. So, I took my very capable husband with me, and we went to install the system. The installation was simple enough.

Now, we did research a bit before making this purchase… and let me tell you, this guy will make you buy the system—he is entertaining!

I looked for easy to follow videos for setup & the only one for there diffuser installation by Hotel Collection was:

Now, it was time to set up the scheduling settings, which tell the system when to turn on and off.

Hotel Collection didn’t have a single video on YouTube. 😳 The only one I found wasn’t even created by Hotel Collection. 🚩 So, in case you’re looking for the same information, check out this video that explains how to set up the system:

So far, this system seems fine, and I thank God for that… but it runs through oil really fast. I only have the system on when my client is home from training since he plays pro football in another city.

The system I chose was the Home Collection DOUBLE PRESIDENTIAL SCENT DIFFUSER. It was originally priced at $1,500 but was on sale for $1,000. It recommend you choose the system according to the square footage. I recommend you take a look at your Ac units in your attic before order the large system. It make suit you better to have two separate systems according to how far apart your AC units are if you have a larger home ( 4000sq and up). Because the clear tubing that send the scent thru has to be long enough, and If the two systems are not closets each other that can be an issue. Not to mention you need to be able to plug the unit in as well. I had to get a 25ft long heavy duty industrial power cord to work.

The one I choose was the Home Collection DOUBLE PRESIDENTIAL SCENT DIFFUSER. It was roughly $1500 on sale for $1000. The oil was MY WAY INSPIRED BY: 1 HOTEL®, MIAMI BEACH $160 on sale for $130.

The system does not come with Ac Patch or sealant once you create the hole for the clear tubing so be sure to go purchase that or some clear liquid nails.

So to ensure I could test out the stick diffusers for my clients that are interested I ordered my own Stick Diffuser to try out. I choose the STUDIO PRO SCENT DIFFUSER (Star Wars theme- gold color). I wanted the MY WAY INSPIRED BY: 1 HOTEL®, MIAMI BEACH $54.95 . I accidentally forgot to add the oil in the order from Hotel collection so I had to find it locally but it is not sold anyway in Dallas Tx. Locally. So I ran to Amazon & I did find it. I finally decided on a 3 pack from Amazon from a Hotel Collection store & paid for Rush Shipping to get it the next day…. $164.00 for 3 small bottles of oil.

The Hotel Collection folks were giving me a free gift with the order….. which I thought….. would be a sample oil …..& it wasn’t. it was actually a $50 gift card that I paid $15 for. Talk about sneaky……So after the oil arrived I started using the Studio Pro Diffuser with the Pro Diffuser Pod inside the Star Wars Diffuser & it smelled absolutely amazing… after a week or two of use of only 1-2 days a week runtime the diffuser started to leak inside itself wasting all this expensive oil.
Then the diffuser just stopped working all together. I did some troubleshooting per the Hotel Collection Instructions it still would not reset & work as it should. After being sooo disappointed cause I really wanted it to work……I was forced to contact support.

I called customer service & like most of all the review say … their customer service is terrible, which is unfortunate. but true. I had the same experience that a lot of others have had. On the Hotel Collection website it was all great reviews…. but when I researched a bit more on Google & Amazon the truth came out…. take a look below.

I messaged support & got no where with that so I went to the website to request a replacement or refund & that seem to be taking forever but today I received and email stating that I wanted a refund I had to have the diffuser returned by 12/31/24 which is only 4 days from now. I also have to pay for the return shipping. So at least I have that in writing in case I need to call my bank to dispute the charges.

Once I ship the broken diffuser back to them & get my refund I will confirm for you all. So you can make you own decision but I wanted to share what my experience was like with Hotel Collection / Aroma 360 who is the same company . Great oil but the stick diffuser is faulty & the customer service is even worse.

Update …. Jan 2025 the Diffuser did go back without a hitch & they refunded my money. I believe they are hoping that most people just forget about the situation & accidentally allow the return window to close.

So far the Attic diffuser system is working fine… the home smells amazing.
