Boosting my immune system

3 Reasons I’m Making Soup This Fall

Professional organizing is my dream job. I get to transform people’s homes into beautiful, luxurious spaces that are functional and photo-ready. But a lot of people don’t realize that behind the perfectly staged photos and flawless arrangements, professional organizing is extremely labor intensive. And because of that, I’m vulnerable to burnouts and illness.

So this Fall,  I’m making a big ol’ pot of soup to boost my immune system! I found a healthy, delicious recipe for super soup and I wanted to share it with you. I hope you’ll try it out too and tell me what you think. In the meantime, let’s talk about what soup has to do with my life as a professional organizer.

New work spaces, mean new germs

This is the time of year when allergens take over the air, threatening our immune systems every time we open our front doors. Add that to the dust and unfamiliar germs I inhale from purging homes, and you’ve got a perfect storm for colds, flu, and other viruses. I plan to fight back by loading up on hearty soups full of organic vegetables. The combination of vitamins and minerals keeps my immune system strong and gives me the energy to stay on task.

I want to double my income

If I want to make more money, I know I’ve got to create more order in my business. This means I need to tighten up my processes and hire out for some things so I can spend more time working in my zone of genius instead of burning out because I’m wearing too many hats! A healthier diet will keep my mind sharp so I can produce higher quality work and attract more income into my business.

I need to organize my shopping and cooking routine

Now, like most of you, I sometimes struggle with finding the time and energy to cook. That’s why I’ve added it to my calendar. Nothing happens in my life unless it’s in my calendar!

These goals aren’t just for me. They’re for my family. I’m whipping up this soup for them too. I’ll be sharing my plans with them so that we can all hold each other accountable. I’m planning on cooking a fresh batch every other Saturday throughout the Fall and Winter. As much as I’d like to make it a weekly habit, I know that’s not realistic for my schedule. And I encourage you to do what works best for you and your family.

Along with my calendar notification, I’ll also add a shopping list and remind myself to pick up the ingredients I need about two days ahead of time. I’m sure you know this already but there’s nothing worse than starting to cook and realizing you don’t have everything you need.

I ran across this super soup recipe on YouTube and it got me motivated to get in the kitchen and get cooking! I’m sharing the link below so you can try it out too. And don’t forget to set your reminders so you can grab all of your ingredients ahead of time.
